South Africa Tour, 2007
In November and December, 2007, my husband Friedrich Danielis and
I were invited to work in Southern Africa under the auspices of
the Austrian Embassy in Pretoria. We spent six weeks there - I was
performing solo concerts and teaching in the cities, villages, and
townships of Lesotho, in the Northwest Province and throughout Gauteng
Province; Frieder was lecturing at WITS University School of Arts,
giving a three-week workshop in the inner city of Johannesburg,
and working with David Krut Art Projects, producing a dry-point
etching.
We have been asked to return to continue our work and build on the
relationships we developed with the extraordinary partners we found.
